Job Descriptionঃ Positions: Arabic Substitute Teaching.
Some of the responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide a classroom environment that is conducive to learning
Effective delivery of the curriculum following teacher’s lesson plans in sequence, and fulfill all responsibilities of the teacher, including extra duty.
Effectively manage each group of students while providing for a variety of learning styles, ability levels, and educational backgrounds
Maintain rigorous and appropriate learning expectations of all students at all times
Maintain accurate up-to-date records of student attendance
Co-operate with and participate in the planning and evaluation of the school program
Employ technology (computer, video, internet, etc) as appropriate to enhance instruction
Openly support and abide by all school policies and procedures
Model the ASD Core Values in interactions with the school community
Represent ASD with students, parents, colleagues, and broader school community in a professional manner
Skills & Requirements
An Arabic substitute teacher must have Arabic as a first language, be over 21 years of age and have completed, or be actively pursuing a college degree.
Substitute teachers are selected based on the following criteria, in order of priority:
Certified teacher with teaching experience full time teaching experience
Degree with teaching experience

Job Description: Position: Substitute Instructional Assistant.
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide smooth and effective classroom support in the absence of the contracted employee.
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Assist the teacher when requested in daily classroom activity planning and supervision
Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills as designed and prescribed by the teacher
Operate and care for equipment used in the classroom for instructional purposes. Assist in general maintenance and cleaning of the classroom after activities
Help students master equipment or instructional materials assigned by the teacher including computer technology
Distribute, collect, and grade workbooks, papers and other materials for instruction, as prescribed by the teacher
Guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work set up and assigned by the teacher
Guide students in working and playing harmoniously with other children in a variety of settings
Supervise students on the playground before school, after school, during recess, or at lunch time as scheduled on the Duty roster
Maintain order while taking students from class to class and in the classroom
Assist the teacher in setting up activities in the classroom including bulletin boards
Assist with large group activities such as drill work, reading aloud, and story telling
Check and record student attendance and performance
Promote positive relationships and rapport with all members of the ASD community
Manage other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher.

Skills & Requirements

Holding a valid UAE residence visa on spouse/father sponsorship
Over 21 years of age
Possess good verbal and written English skills
Minimum of a college degree
Possess a positive work attitude and initiative with the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively and provide assistance as a part of their work team
Prior teaching/classroom experience an advantage.
